ViaVia Mopti acts as a travel agency as well. The hotel disposes of bicycles and cars (4×4, minivans, monovolumes) and competent guides speaking French or English with a lot of experience to turn your tour into a success.

Starting from the hotel tours can be made to: Pays Dogon, Mopti, Djenné, Gao, Douentza, Sikasso, Tombouctou and all other cities that are worth visiting. In the hotel you can also rent a pirogue and take a tour on the Niger river. The hotel can offer you competent guides with years of experience for these river tours as well.

If you prefer to make use of the public transport to visit a city, Mettez and his team will happily provide you with all necessary information. They will gladly contact a good local guide to show you all the places of interest.

On the menu you can find local as well as western dishes. In the restaurant you can enjoy the local fish specialty ‘Capitaine’ or a western dish, such as ‘steak with pepper sauce’. In the tourist season we also serve soups, pasta and sandwiches.

Infrastructure

The hotel has room for 30 people, who can stay in double or triple rooms in the ViaVia café. All rooms have a private bathroom (shower and toilet).

The hotel offers a nice garden as well, where you can enjoy your meal while listening to local music. Furthermore there is a big car park, so you can leave your car there. This car park is placed under surveillance, so you can enjoy your stay in the ViaVia to the fullest.

Extra services

There is free Wi-Fi-internet for hotel guests. If the customer chooses to book a room, clean towels will be at his disposal for free. These guests are also offered a breakfast which is included in the price of the room. This does not apply to people sleeping on the camping site (roof). The common language in the hotel is French. Only a few people will be able to assist you in English. The hotel furthermore disposes of satellite television and has a bike rental service.

By plane

Flights offered by Point Afrique and Go voyages have Ambodedjo in Sevare as destination. This airport is located at a short distance of ViaVia Mopti. A transfer from the airport to the hotel is possible by taxi or with the car of the hotel.

By car

ViaVia Mopti is situated on the road from Mopti to Bandiagara, at 20 metres from the bus station of Sevare. You can easily reach the travel café from the big cities.

By boat

If you are located not that far from the ViaVia café, you can also reach it by pirogue or pinasse. In this way it is possible to sail to Mopti port, 13 kilometres from the hotel.

By public transport

The ViaVia café is located right next to the bus station of Sevare. Buses from Bamako, Gao and Ouagadougou arrive at this station on a regular basis.

Opening hours

ViaVia Mopti is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Day and night a receptionist is at your service and makes sure that you get a warm welcome.

The restaurant of ViaVia Mopti is open every day from 11.30 a.m. till 3 p.m. and from 7 p.m. till 11 p.m.
