ViaVia Joker travellers cafes each are meeting places for travellers and lovers of world kitchen, a holiday ambience or a homey talk at the bar.

As the first of all the ViaVia’s we took our first steps in 1995. Ever since, we provide you with dishes from all over the world. From an Indonesian Ikan Pepes to a Mexican Chivichanga. From a Senegales Yassa Poulet to a Peruvian Pastel de Choclo. Housed in two typical townhouses, we aim for a homey atmosphere eventhough we gathered our recipes in places far from home. Of course you’re also more than welcome to browse through our library of travel guides or to enjoy a drink surrounded by bamboo on our terrace.

Do you suffer from holiday blues? You want to find some inspiration for your next trip? Or do you want to taste a slice of all the good things North, East, South and West have to offer? We love to accompany you with a bite of the world kitchen and the good vibes that come with that!

Since we’re a travellers café, we serve you a selection from the world kitchen. Our menu changes weekly, although we do follow some principles: there’re always three vegetarian options, one dish with chicken, one with meat and one with fish. Furthermore, every day we have a list of tapas on offer.

And of course… there’s always our famous spaghetti and South-African bobotie…

If you’d want to make a reservation: a table is only one phone call away: 0032 16 40 40 45 (we don’t take reservations for a table by e-mail).

À propos de nous

Our core business is to bring people together with a love for world kitchen and travelling.

We’re proud to say that everything that comes out of our kitchen, is fresh and homemade (except for the bread).

We offer various fairtrade products, e.g. coffee, tea, some of our wines and juices.

We do hope that the joy we derive from doing what we do, reflects in the way we serve our customers and in the way we present our colourful dishes. We realise we’re lucky to be a part of the ViaVia. That’s why we want to share this fortune with others: since 2017 we decided to give a a share of our profit to a good cause. Last edition, vzw Recht op Migratie received the honours.

Meeting room

*** Corona update ***
Since Covid is still amongst us, we don’t rent out our meeting room. For now, it’s part of our restaurant so we can seat everyone at a safe distance.
Just above our café we have a space for meetings, presentations or dinner parties.
From Monday until Thursday we ask a rent of €25 if you want the room all for yourself. If you’re a non profit organization and you don’t mind sharing the space (you can divide it with a curtain), there’s no rent to be paid. From Friday until Sunday we kindky ask for a €100 rent (if you spend over €300 we drop the rent though). For dinner parties, we can provide a buffet of three main courses (we can decide which ones in advance) with or without appetizers and dessert.
For more info about our meeting room: mail to heverlee[at]viavia.world

. Please mention the date, the approximate number of participants and describe your activity as much as possible.

It started with the humble question of two customers. If we could please, please cater their wedding dinner. Once the Big Day came, it turned out to be just as fun for us as it was for them.
So if you organize a party and you would like a worldly buffet or some jummie appetizers, you can send a mail to heverlee[at]viavia.world!

We still have a limited take-away menu. To see our menu, check out our online order form!
